Lackawanna County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is seeking an Aging Care Manager 1 to assist senior citizens with obtaining enriching services and support to lead active, safe lives. Upon successful completion of the 6-month probationary period, you will be promoted to an Aging Care Manager 2, inclusive of a salary increase. Aging Care Managers are trained to assess the needs of older adults, develop and implement care plans, provide advocacy and ongoing care management, and protect consumers from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and abandonment. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for older adults by providing them with access to a range of community and home-based services. This position may, at times, require flexible work location and environment. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment You must be able to travel to areas that may or may not be accessible by public transportation. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years as an Aging Case Aide 2; or A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by twelve (12) credits in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
