What We're Looking For:

If you are an aspiring Project Manager with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe background, then you will be excited about the Agile Project Manager opening with Iridium on our Billing and Provisioning team. The Agile Project Manager provides project coordination and Agile guidance, driving successful project delivery while navigating interdependencies in a matrixed and fast-paced environment. This position will help drive the completion of a variety of projects that help support the launch of Iridium programs. These projects are critical to the future of the Iridium business, to our value-added partners and end customers, and are often in support of large, complex, and high-profile technology programs focused on end-to-end system solutions, new product development, network elements within the Iridium architecture, and modernization of existing systems. You will succeed in this role if you have an intermediate knowledge of project management fundamentals OR SAFe (Scaled Agile), in addition to intermediate knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.

What You'll Do:
  • Work independently and proactively to identify stakeholders' needs and document requirements in a methodical and organized manner
  • Guide the prioritization and planning of new projects
  • Coordinate the delivery of multiple projects with end goals in mind, including setting personal priorities and following up with others on assigned tasks to ensure deadlines are met
  • Lead Scrum meetings with the Agile Development team
  • Ensure that the team follows Agile/Scrum/SAFe principles and best practices
  • Recommend solutions and present opportunities to help solve existing problems
  • Monitor project financial performance targets
  • Responsible for monitoring project metrics and performance and effectively communicating findings to stakeholders and leadership
  • Help develop and manage project plans
  • Build stable working relationships with internal personnel and external stakeholders
  • Participate in broader team activities
What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • 5+ years' experience in project/program management, preferably in a large, global organization
  • 3+ years' Scrum Master experience
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues to groups outside of your team or those who are unfamiliar with the topic
  • Possess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions or come up with solutions
  • Be comfortable managing upward, including being a proactive communicator and asking for help when needed
  • Have confidence and be able to easily build relationships with leadership and colleagues outside of your team
  • Must be able to prioritize your own tasks, and potentially the tasks of others while making sure deadlines are met, and have a strong sense of ownership over your work
  • Proactively seek ways to improve yourself and gain new knowledge, and enthusiasm in sharing knowledge with others
Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:
  • Prior experience in Telecommunications, utility, or banking systems
  • SAFe (Scaled Agile) experience or working knowledge
  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and Smartsheet, especially in a project lead or administrator capacity.
  • Project Management Accreditation (PMP, PMI or equivalent)
  • Experience collaborating globally across timelines and cultures
  • Scrum Master Certifications
