The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is on the lookout for a talented Agile Coach to join a pivotal cyber security program, playing an essential role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a dynamic team tasked with overseeing the development, integration, delivery, and operations of managed IT security services, aimed at enhancing our cybersecurity readiness and situational awareness across the enterprise. This role is in anticipation of an upcoming contract award.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Agile transformation initiatives and facilitate Agile processes while coaching teams to deliver secure, high-quality products and drive continuous improvement in security-related projects.
  • Utilize extensive experience managing Agile teams in complex environments, demonstrating a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles to navigate the integration of security, technology, and business.
  • Serve as a servant leader and Agile coach across multiple cybersecurity development teams.
  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Empower teams to self-organize and pursue continuous improvement through Agile values, principles, and practices.
  • Mentor and guide teams on Agile best practices with a focus on secure development processes (DevSecOps).
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to embed security requirements into Agile workflows.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Security Engineers, and DevOps to prioritize security features and address technical debt.
  • Facilitate teamwork between development, security, and compliance teams to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.
  • Ensure that security and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR) are effectively integrated into the project backlog.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in alignment with Agile deliverables and security objectives.
  • Encourage a security-first mindset by fostering a culture that places security at the core of the Agile process.
  • Drive the delivery of high-quality security solutions by managing team dependencies and ensuring sprint goals fulfill broader security objectives.
  • Monitor team performance, security metrics, and sprint outcomes to uncover opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuously refine Agile processes to enhance the efficiency, security, and quality of deliverables.
  • Engage with cybersecurity leadership and product management to align security initiatives with organizational priorities.
  • Communicate progress, blockers, and outcomes to stakeholders to maintain transparency and alignment.
  • Foster strong collaboration across the security program through cross-team coordination.
  • Assure that Agile practices comply with cybersecurity governance and organizational standards.
  • Advocate for Agile frameworks that balance security with speed and quality.
  • Manage project and program aspects, ensuring successful achievement of program goals within defined scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Coach, review, and delegate responsibilities to less experienced team members.
  • Engage with external partners (subcontractors, vendors, etc.) to influence design and processes effectively.
What does Leidos need from you?
  • Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance is required. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8 to 12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6 to 10 years of relevant experience (experience may substitute for a degree).
  • Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master.
  • Advanced Agile certifications (e.g., Advanced CSM, SAFe Advanced Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach, with at least 2 years focused on cybersecurity or technology programs.
  • Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., NIST, OWASP, ISO 27001).
  • Experience in Agile environments focused on integrating security into the Software Development Life Cycle (DevSecOps).
  • Proven capability to mentor and develop teams across various stages of Agile maturity.
  • Exceptional facilitation and conflict resolution skills to manage team dynamics and drive consensus.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with the management of large-scale cybersecurity efforts in an Agile setting.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and secure coding methodologies.
  • Experience facilitating PI (Program Increment) Planning in a SAFe environment.

Compensation Range:

Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
