What You'll Do: In this role, you will work with Agents/Sales Associates to facilitate the development of strategic plans, provide consulting services, and perform joint-work to drive growth for the agency and the companies. This includes performing joint insurance appointments with Sales Associates/Agents with a focus on cross-selling life insurance, providing product promotion and sales presentations, and creating or facilitating training as needed. This position will partner with the Agent/Agency to develop sales goals and strategies. You will also:
- Serve as a strategic partner offering guidance on strategic initiatives and performance methods to strength agency portfolios and programs.
- Partner with Agencies and their Sales Associates to create operational plans that improve life cross-sell, adding product lines to existing accounts, following up on referrals, improving retention, and performing joint-work to ensure the value of annual insurance reviews is understood.
- Be a liaison between the Agency and Home Office, ensuring all sales and educational opportunities are communicated to.
- Approximately (20%) of the time, conduct agent sales meetings, educational workshops/seminars, small group meetings, and represent the home office at marketing seminars, tradeshows, and at the state/regional level.
What It Takes to Join Our Team:
- College degree or equivalent plus 5 years relevant Sales or equivalent experience required. Experience with project management or managing sales process preferred.
- Licensed in all product lines preferred. FINRA Registered Representative and Principal, Series 6, 26, & 63 preferred.
- Must have or be able to obtain in-depth knowledge of Agency System, State Federations and Farm Bureau.
- Strong adaptability, consensus building and networking skills required.
- Excellent leadership, planning and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written.
- Excellent people and presentation (one-on-one & group) skills with the ability to work well with the agents and their staff in a multi-line exclusive agent channel.
- A valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Records are required.
- Ability to travel a minimum of 75% across assigned territory including locally, as well as overnight required.
