Position: Director, Aftersales
Location: Miami Area, Florida, USA
100% onsite, in office plus 25% travel
Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Permanent Position
Salary range: $100k-$120k annual
Position Summary
A global transportation and commercial vehicle manufacturer is seeking a Director of Aftersales to lead and drive aftersales operations across the United States and Latin America. This leadership role is responsible for the execution of parts and service strategy, retail network development, technical field support, and overall customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Director of Aftersales will play a critical role in achieving business goals related to service excellence, profitability, and partner performance.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy - Parts & Services
- Lead and implement the annual business plan for aftersales, ensuring delivery on volume, profitability, and strategic objectives.
- Develop and execute commercial strategy for service offerings, parts pricing, service contracts, and telematics.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure optimal parts availability and operational efficiency.
- Cultivate strong relationships with distributors and dealers while motivating regional sales teams.
Retail Network & Competence Development
- Ensure customer satisfaction and high-quality service delivery through effective partnerships with the retail network.
- Drive retail development plans to expand footprint and improve service capabilities across the region.
- Oversee professional development and competence-building efforts within the dealer and importer network.
- Maintain governance practices through importer plans, business reviews, and performance tracking.
Technical Support & Warranty
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to product quality and technical performance.
- Guide regional teams in addressing technical and quality issues, coordinating feedback and resolution with internal stakeholders.
- Enhance dealer and importer knowledge on warranty and technical processes.
- Ensure responsiveness to customer complaints and quality concerns through structured support and reporting.
Candidate Profile
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience & Knowledge
- 10-15 years of leadership experience in aftersales, commercial operations, or service support in the commercial vehicle or automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of spare parts operations, service development, technical support, and retail performance in a multinational environment.
- Experience working across Latin America and North American markets.
- Background in strategic planning, sales execution, contract management, and process improvement.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven leadership with the ability to inspire, delegate, and influence across functional teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and communication skills.
- Comfortable navigating multicultural environments and cross-border teams.
- Technical understanding of commercial vehicles, systems, and applications.
- Fluency in English and Spanish required.
