Were seeking passionate, energetic individuals to join our team as part-time Program Supervisors for the After School Program during the school year at Highland Falls Intermediate School in Highland Falls, NY.
PAY: $15.75 per hour
STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM projects, academic enrichment, creative arts, and yes, assisting with homework.
Foster a safe, fun, and supportive environment where children can thrive. Serve as a positive role model they look forward to seeing every day.
Support the Site Director with administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, registration oversight, and staff coordination. Step in as the on-site lead when the Director is absent.
Maintain regular, effective communication with families through the Playground App sharing daily highlights and important updates.
Adhere to OCFS regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and all site-specific school guidelines.
Collaborate with the Director on problem-solving, program decisions, and short-term planning.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (must meet one of the following):
High school diploma (or equivalent) and two years of direct experience with children under 13
OR
A School-Age Child Care Credential (or other Office-recognized credential for school-age development) and one year of experience with children under 13
OR
An Associates degree in Child Development, Elementary or Physical Education, Recreation, or a related discipline
QUALIFICATIONS:
Medically cleared to perform all required duties and free from communicable illnesses, including TB
Friendly, positive, and approachable personality with excellent communication skills; reliable, prompt, and professional in every setting
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stretch, and remain active throughout your shift to keep up with energetic children
