Job Description
Provides direct in-home services including, but not limited to, crisis management, de-escalation, parenting skills, and behavior managment
Support case plan goals through teaching, role modeling, and demonstration
Develops short term safety plans to resolve crisis situations
Works with community partners to access supports for children and families during a time of crisis
Frequest communication/coordination with on-call screener during crisis situations
Supervises and transports children and families, as needed
Documents information and completes all necessary Saint Francis Ministries forms according to timelines
Supports resource families to maintain placements and help children work toward permanency
Monitors and supervises family interactions
Provides clerical support to case teams as needed
Assists with filing or closing out files as needed or requested by supervisor
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age
Mandated Reporter
Receives training in trauma informed practice and incorporates knowledge in day-to-day practice
Must be able to manage aggressive behaviors with clients
Ability to work flexible schedule beginning at 2 PM until 8 AM
Ability to engage families in a working relationship
Ability to assess for safety for children and adults
Understanding of child and adolescent development
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel throughout the State
Must be a team player
Handles multiple priorities
Independent discretion/decision making within the scope and responsibility of the position
Manages emotions and can amek decisions under pressure
Manages stress appropriately
Works alone effectively
Abilty to work with a diverse population
Understands and practices Universal Precautions
