Location
Our office is headquartered in Newport Beach, CA. We operate in a hybrid work environment, with three in-office workdays (Tues - Thurs) and two remote workdays (M, F). This is an internship position requiring approximately 15-20 hours per week, with the opportunity to convert to full-time in the summer for the right person. We're open to candidates in the LA/OC area.
Job Description
We're looking for an Affiliate Partnerships Intern to join our growing Partnerships team and support/grow a portfolio of direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands. In this role, you will work closely with media partners, content creators, clients and management to ensure that client objectives are exceeded. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has a bias toward action, with great interpersonal and relationship building skills.
The candidate will ideally have strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and is interested in social commerce and working directly with content creators, building content, and developing affiliate strategy.
The expectation is that the internship will develop into a full-time affiliate partnerships coordinator role in the summer of 2025, assisting with partner outreach, Tier I media relationship building, strategy contribution and growing accounts across our portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Research, recruit and onboard new affiliate partners including social media influencers, bloggers, media outlets and e-commerce companies to help scale our client's TikTok Shop, Amazon Affiliate and DTC Affiliate channels
- Learn and implement agency tools and best practices with TikTok Shop, Impact, Rakuten, Partnerize, CJ, Social Snowball and many others
- Build and grow relationships with media contacts and content creators
- Coordinate product sampling and maintain regular follow-ups to ensure feedback is provided to clients, managing problem-solving as needed
- Assist with weekly client reports, providing individual updates and status reports as needed
- Conduct keyword research and leverage agency tools and automation platforms to identify prospective publisher partners for portfolio of clients
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 0-2 years' experience in marketing, sales, or related field
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work-ethic and proactive, action-driven mindset are a must
- Adept at identifying problems and presenting solutions
- Growth mentality; always seeking to do better, achieve new goals
- Detail-oriented and able to manage priorities independently
- Passionate about creator commerce, public relations, social media and affiliate marketing
- Self-driven with willingness to take on new challenges with a positive mindset
- Outgoing personality with the ability to network and create new connections
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), social media platforms (TikTok, Meta, etc.) with aptitude to learn new systems
