Job Description

Currently, NSF is seeking an Aerospace Technical Scheme Lead to support the development and ongoing management of the Aerospace certification scheme programs in compliance with NSF and the requirements set by accreditation bodies or partners. In this role, you will assist the Technical Manager for Aerospace in creating certification scheme documents and managing the application of certification scheme requirements to ensure they meet relevant key performance indicators (KPIs). You will serve as a key contact, working directly with teams to ensure the successful delivery of scheme services while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor scheme effectiveness and identify opportunities for improving performance and growth
  • Ensure that the Aerospace scheme program meets all corporate and accreditation requirements for QA and QC turnaround times, production and adherence to the annual budget
  • Plan, organize, and conduct key events including launch events annual forums, and other training sessions
  • Develop and publish case studies, webinars, and industry market evaluations
  • Provide certification approvals for responsible schemes, conduct onsite witness audits and evaluate program and auditor performance
  • Report findings and communicate results to auditors and audit managers to drive continuous improvement in audit report quality and auditor calibration
  • Support the achievement of new accreditations within specified timelines while maintaining current program accreditations. This will involve close collaboration with accreditation bodies and NSF's quality and legal departments
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of quality systems to ensure ongoing compliance with internal key performance indicators (KPIs), KPIs of the scheme owners, and accreditation requirements
  • Conduct audits according to agreed-upon KPIs
  • Collaborate with marketing, communications, and business development to strategically market and sell service offerings. Participate in marketing activities and publication goals as necessary
  • Present to manufacturers, trade associations, regulatory agencies, and product user groups to support the sales of scheme services
  • Assist the Business Development teams in developing proposals that meet the unique needs of our clients
  • Track the operational performance of assigned schemes and report to the Technical Manager
  • Provide periodic reports to the Director for assigned projects and deliverables
  • Assist the Technical Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring annual operating plans and budget
  • Collaborate with other NSF divisions to ensure the availability of the full range of scheme services for NSF clients and potential future clients
  • Represent NSF at trade shows, meetings, and conferences
  • Develop policies and procedures for assigned program areas
  • Provide technical expertise to internal and external customers as needed
Qualifications
  • 6+years of experience with Aerospace auditing programs
  • AS 91XX Certified Lead Auditor
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (may substitute 4 years of additional work experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Technical knowledge of schemes and the associated management development processes
  • Experience in writing technical documents with a focus on quality systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others as part of a team member and leader
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Oracle-based applications
Travel Requirements:

Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%

Salary Range: $75,000 - $160,000

The total pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At NSF, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
