We are seeking a full-time Asset Manager to work out of our Buckhead, Atlanta office.
Responsibilities - Oversee and manage a distressed commercial property during a receivership, primarily focused on preserving the asset's value by managing leasing activities, collecting rent, maintaining the property, and reporting to the court while working towards a potential sale of the property
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and economic factors to inform investment decisions and asset positioning.
- Monitor the client's portfolio periodically through strategic asset tracking.
- Prepare detailed financial reports on property performance, including income statements, cash flow analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify and prioritize capital improvement projects to maintain property value and enhance tenant satisfaction.
- Identify potential risks associated with the property portfolio and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to property management.
- Serve as court-appointed receiver
- Dive into the current investment market and study the latest trends in terms of its RoI, shortcomings, risks and benefits.
- Be available to the clients, in person and by calls, to provide guidance on fund management.
- Review the asset management and make changes and tweaks to the investments as and when required.
- Liaise with auditors, property managers, income tax executives and other professionals on matters relating to the client's asset management.
Required skills and qualifications - Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate investment, property management, or asset management.
- Prior experience working as an asset manager or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the multifamily real estate market and leasing practices.
- Understanding of financial management or modelling and understanding of financial regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial real estate market trends, lease structures, property management practices, and legal considerations.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed investment decisions.
- Ability to manage and motivate property management teams to achieve performance goals.
- Familiarity with receivership procedures and court regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders including investors, property managers, tenants, and internal teams.
- Proven ability to negotiate lease terms and contracts with tenants and vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word for creating and formatting documents, including reports and letters.
- Ability to develop compelling presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis, creating pivot tables, and generating charts.
