Advanced Software Developer Manassas, VA Contract Position $53.84-$58.84/Hour Advanced Software Engineer job in Manassas, Virginia is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Defense company. In this Hybrid/Flex job as an Advanced Software Engineer, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for developing cybersecurity software for the US Navy, applying your programming experience in C/C , Java and Python Responsibilities: Develop new software components in Java, C, C , and Python to meet program needs Integrate COTS tools, including open-source products and API-driven integration efforts Perform thorough unit testing of software components to prepare for integration in a larger system Conduct software component integration to ensure end-to-end system functionality prior to formal testing Participate in various technical and program meetings on a weekly basis Research, identify, and evaluate new technologies for adoption by the Navy Qualifications: U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or STEM and 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree and 3+ years of experience. Strong Java (JavaFX) C, C , and Python object oriented programming experience in a Linux environment Experience with open-source software and custom software, as well as integration between software applications using middle tier integration and data-driven models Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including configuration management, good coding practices, and experience in writing, testing, and deploying production-quality software Nice to Have Qualifications: Agile experience preferred.
