We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join the North Mersey Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team.

This role requires expert assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for individuals needing urgent mental health support.

The post is based at Broadoak Unit, with practitioners covering Liverpool, Sefton, and potentially Mid Mersey depending on service needs.

Main duties of the job
  1. Provide strategic clinical leadership in your area of specialization using up-to-date, evidence-based practices.
  2. Undertake expert assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for specific service users.
  3. Offer expert clinical advice to service users, carers, staff, and other professionals.
  4. Demonstrate advanced competence in complex decision-making, assessment, and management within your specialist area.
  5. Support and complement existing medical arrangements.
  6. Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and agencies to achieve effective outcomes.

Job responsibilities

Clinical/Managerial

  1. Lead as an advanced clinical practitioner within Urgent Care services.
  2. Utilize expert skills to assess, diagnose, intervene, and provide guidance, adapting to changing service user needs.
  3. Formulate, implement, and evaluate interventions with individuals and their carers.
  4. Make autonomous referrals and decisions within your scope.
  5. Maintain high standards of clinical expertise and evaluate your practice regularly.
  6. Participate in research, service meetings, and supervision.
  7. Ensure accurate documentation, data management, and reporting.
  8. Contribute to service development and policy formulation.
  9. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and other professionals.

Professional Qualification
  • Registered Nurse (Mental Health) or equivalent registration.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' clinical practice experience.
  • Post-registration study/CPD at master's level or equivalent.
  • Master's Degree.
