Main duties of the job
Join our Out of Hours Hub team in Leicester as an Advanced Practitioner. Use your clinical skills to make a real difference, helping patients during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job responsibilities
Typical day includes:
- Providing autonomous and advanced clinical care
- Assessing, diagnosing, treating, and referring patients effectively
- Maintaining high-quality clinical records
- Staying updated with clinical practice developments
Requirements to be successful
- Professional registration with NMC, HCPC, or GPhC
- Masters level qualification or equivalent with demonstrated assessment skills
- Experience working autonomously in multidisciplinary teams
Person Specification Qualifications
- Registered Adult Nurse (NMC), Paramedic (HCPC), or Pharmacist (GPhC)
- Registered as an independent non-medical prescriber
- At least 2 modules at Level 7, including assessment of clinical examination skills
- MSc in Advanced Practice
Experience
- Substantial autonomous practice in multi-professional teams
- Experience in telephone triage and physical assessment
- Knowledge of complex and common conditions in primary care for adults and children
- Experience in nurse-led clinics, emergency care centres, out of hours facilities, or walk-in centres
- Independent prescribing experience
- Experience in emergency care and general practice

- Ability to take concise clinical histories and perform physical exams during telephone consultations
- Formulate differential diagnoses and management plans
