You will work on projects focused on the design and analysis of critical subsea components and systems.Your role will involve utilizing CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings, performing structural and thermal analysis, and designing for harsh environments (especially maritime). You'll collaborate with team members across disciplines to deliver innovative solutions that meet project requirements and customer expectations.The ideal candidate is a creative, collaborative thinker with strong proficiency in mechanical design tools and analysis software, along with experience leading complex projects in challenging environments.Duties and Responsibilities Design and analyze critical subsea components and systems for maritime applications Create mechanical models and detailed drawings using CAD software (CREO/SolidWorks) Perform structural, shock, and vibration analyses using appropriate tools Apply knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods to ensure designs are producible Follow technical, government, and industry standards in design work Lead complex projects, including planning, execution, and technical oversight Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integrated solutions Write technical papers and proposals as required Support continuous professional development within the team Ensure designs meet requirements for harsh maritime environmentsRequired Experience/Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field 5+ years of job-related experience (or Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience) Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools (CREO and/or SolidWorks) Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods Understanding of technical, government, and industry standards Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals Experience leading complex projectsNice-to-Haves Experience with structural and thermal analysis tools (Ansys, Matlab) Design experience for harsh environments, especially maritime Experience with subsea components and systems Knowledge of shock and vibration analysis Experience with defense industry projects Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldEducation Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required Master's degree preferredJoin Our Team.If you're an innovative mechanical engineer with experience in designing for challenging environments and a passion for national security solutions, we invite you to apply.Join our team in Florham Park, NJ, and be part of award-winning teams developing practical solutions for our nation's security.
