Advanced Lead Engineer - Embedded Software Development in

Seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to lead the design, development, integration, and testing of firmware for aerospace systems. The role involves developing real-time embedded software for systems that control critical electromechanical components such as motors, valves, engines, and fans.
Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000/annum; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire 3 days onsite/week Key Responsibilities:- Architect and develop embedded software modules and systems.
- Lead full software development lifecycle (Agile or V-model).
- Integrate software with microcontrollers, processors, and FPGAs.
- Support hardware-software integration and communication protocols (CAN, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553).
- Guide junior team members and contribute to technical leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet performance, cost, and schedule goals.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or high school diploma/GED with 6+ years of relevant experience).
- 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
- 3+ years of experience with C or ADA programming.
- Proficiency with embedded development tools (debuggers, emulators, compilers).
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with DO-178B/C certified development.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems and Xilinx Standalone OS.
- Network driver development experience.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Shell, Perl).
- Project management and global collaboration experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred).
