The Admissions RN is a registered nurse responsible for presenting hospice services and philosophy to patients and families to facilitate admissions of appropriate candidates.
Participates in data collection, analysis, education, and documentation during the admission process. Evaluates patients for hospice suitability, reviews medical records, and obtains family consensus. Builds relationships with referral sources to support high-quality, responsive care. Maintains clinical competence and educates families about hospice and palliative options. Requires RN licensure, relevant healthcare experience, effective communication skills, reliable transportation, and knowledge of clinical manifestations and technology systems. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor s degree and sales or service experience.
