Job Description:


This position is responsible for engaging with prospective students, building relationships, and promoting RVCC's academic and Workforce programs to potential applicants. This position will actively support the college's enrollment goals by providing comprehensive admissions information and offering personalized guidance to prospective or newly admitted students throughout the application and enrollment processes.


Essential Duties:


Prospective Student Engagement:


  • Initiate and maintain contact with prospective students, parents, high school counselors, and community organizations; including businesses, libraries, churches, unemployment One-Stop career centers, and more.
  • Promote RVCC's academic programs, campus culture, and enrollment opportunities through various outreach efforts, including in-person and virtual presentations.
  • Represent RVCC at high schools, community organizations, college fairs, and other recruitment events to engage potential students and their families.
  • Encourage prospective students to apply to the college and assist them in navigating the admissions process.
  • Conduct professional presentations to prospective students and community groups on- or off-campus to provide information about the College with a strong focus on the Free Community College Opportunity Grant (CCOG), Financial Aid, RVCC Scholarships, and NJ Stars.

Admissions Information and Support:


  • Assist prospective and newly admitted students in understanding and completing the admissions and enrollment process.
  • Answer questions and address concerns related to application procedures, academic offerings, deadlines, and campus resources.
  • Support the Enrollment Center daily operations as needed.

Relationship Building:


  • Foster strong relationships with high school counselors, teachers, community leaders, and other influencers to help increase awareness of RVCC's offerings and opportunities.
  • Serve as a liaison between prospective students and the Admissions Office, ensuring that all student inquiries are addressed in a timely and professional manner.

Recruitment Strategy Support:


  • Collaborate with the Enrollment Management team to develop and implement strategies that increase enrollment and meet institutional goals.
  • Track and report recruitment progress, ensuring alignment with enrollment targets.

Event Participation and Coordination:


  • Plan, organize, and attend recruitment events such as high school visits, informational sessions, webinars, and college fairs.
  • Provide campus tours and host informational sessions for prospective students and their families.

Admissions Process Education:


  • Educate prospective students on the steps and timelines involved in applying to and enrolling at RVCC. Collaborate with first year advisors to a ensure seamless enrollment experience


Requirements:


Bachelor's degree required.


Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in recruitment, sales or marketing required.


Proficient organizational skills and attention to detail, specifically constituent relationship management, and excellent interpersonal communications skills required with strong verbal and written skills


Ability to work well in a team environment as well as individually with a customer service-oriented attitude required.


Ability to manage multiple projects, multiple deadlines and work in multi-disciplinary environment required;


Understanding of and commitment to the College's mission of service to the community.


Must possess a valid driver's license.


Work hours vary at different times of the year. Events may be scheduled on evenings and weekends.


Preferred Qualifications:


Bilingual.


Previous experience in admissions counseling.



Additional Information:


Position is located on RVCC's campus in Branchburg, NJ.


General office hours are: Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5pm
