In the Office of Admissions, the team is passionate about developing student friendly processes and delivering a high-level student service experience. As an Admissions Representative I, you are encouraged to use your creative skills to develop best practices in order to meet the needs of the populations you will serve. This is achieved by building rapport with students, school districts, and interdepartmentally across campus in order to provide gold-standard student experiences. Consistent professional development is also encouraged and embraced in the Office of Admissions as we are all continuing to learn new and engaging ways to reach prospective students.

Specifically, as an Admissions Representative I, you oversee a recruitment territory that involves visiting high schools, attending college fairs, and developing community partnerships. Additionally, you collaborate with three primary areas in Admissions - CRM, Processing, and Recruitment, as well as work in partnership with Academic Affairs, High School Partnerships (dual enrollment), Marketing, and other areas across campus to effectively recruit students to Hawkeye Community College.

Important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Anticipated schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with occasional evenings and/or weekends due to business need and/or events. Events include but are not limited to: College fairs and on campus or community events year-round.

Requires skills for succeeding in an office environment, using technology. Requires good hand-eye coordination including visual acuity to use a keyboard and read technical information; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp. Work is performed in an office setting. Sit, stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during working hours. During course of day, interact with student, faculty and staff in person, by telephone and computers.
