Salary: $54,132 - $67,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
Position Summary Under the general direction of the Director of Enrollment Operations, the Admissions Communications & Slate Specialist leads the development and execution of strategic, student-focused communications across the Slate CRM and digital platforms. This role manages messaging projects including email, SMS, portals, and events, while also maintaining CRM infrastructure and quality control. Additionally, the position supports web and social media strategy-collaborating with marketing teams to create content that highlights student experiences and promotes engagement. The role works cross-functionally to deliver integrated campaigns that enhance recruitment, engagement and the prospective student experience.
The Admissions Communications & Slate Specialist is a key member of a high-performing enrollment team who will share RFU's story with prospective and admitted students, pre-health advisors and influencers, and community and professional organizations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Write student-centered content for communication campaigns that promote benefits over features.
- Design and execute email, SMS, portal, form, and event content to support recruitment and admissions communications.
- Target well-defined applicant personas for RFU programs.
- Create event-related communications and ensure timely delivery through Slate.
- Collaborate with admissions, marketing, and academic departments to align and integrate messaging strategies.
- Ensure all communication assets are mobile-responsive, brand-consistent, and student-centered.
- Support and enhance the division's digital presence via email campaigns, social media, and web content.
- Develop persuasive ad copy and impactful headlines tailored to digital platforms, optimizing for click-through and conversion rates.
- Create and maintain Slate templates, signatures, content blocks, and program-specific email boxes.
- Develop, flowchart and maintain strategic communication plans and targeted messaging strategies.
- Build and maintain communication flows, automations (rules, bin movement), and portals within Slate CRM.
- Conduct regular testing and quality assurance of communications, populations, portals, forms, and events.
- Maintain and update RFU Connect portal and central admissions calendars related to prospective student events.
- Provide communication-related support and guidance across departments, ensuring CRM processes meet recruitment goals.
- Manage and prioritize communication-related work tickets and troubleshoot communication workflows.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for optimization.

Required Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Higher Education, or a related field.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in admissions
- 2+ years of experience with CRM systems (preferably Slate).
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities - Strong project management, writing, and editing skills.
- Experience managing digital communications across multiple platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of database table join queries (configurable joins).
- Proficient and functional knowledge of Google Suite, Adobe Photoshop and Canva
- Ability to design, create and embed visual media into digital communications
Preferred Qualifications - Prior experience in graduate health professions admissions.
- Strong understanding of the graduate applicant profile and admissions cycle.
- Familiarity with HTML for email and portal customization.
- Experience with social media content strategy and student-focused marketing
