Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience required with a minimum of four years supervisory/management experience.
- ASC experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of State, Federal and Accrediting Body regulations and standards related to healthcare.
- Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for own professional advancement and that of others.
- Experience in budgeting and personnel management
- Evidence of continuing education, which is directly related to the job specifications.
- State RN license is a bonus

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative:
- Motivates and empowers facility employees to meet the facility's mission and purpose.
- Facilitates the development of appropriate working relationships with the Governing Board, Partners, Medical Staff, Departmental leaders, facility staff, patients, and family members.
- Manages facility personnel through timely and effective hiring, evaluation, and counseling as necessary, with primary focus on consistent positive feedback and maximizing retention.
- Participates in regular leadership development and develops and implements programs for leadership development of facility managers.
- Assures that systems are in place to comply with State, Federal, and accreditation standards.
- Develops and manages the operating budget, capital budget and projections.
- Develops, implements, and oversees plans for cost effective operations.
- Oversees the fiscal management of the facility to assure effective billing, collection, appeals, and accounts payable management.
- Provides leadership role in Performance Improvement activities.
- Maintains current policies and procedures specific to facility operations according to regulatory requirements and recognized professional organizations.
- Operates a culture of Safety and can demonstrate leadership roles in fire, disaster, exposure, and other emergency scenarios identified in risk identification strategies.
- Oversees physical facility and all physical systems at the facility, ensuring repairs and maintenance as well as any cleaning required is scheduled and performed.
And if you have Clinical Experience:
- Hands-on leader actively engaged in the operations of the surgery center.
- Support for surgeons through provisions of adequately prepared service team members.
- Delegation of responsibilities and duties to professional, technical, and ancillary personnel.
- Responsibility for performance evaluation of all department personnel.
- Coordination of administrative duties to ensure qualification and proficiency of the staff.
- Coordination of the provision and control of materials, supplies, and equipment with the Materials Manager and OR Supervisor.
- Coordination of activity within the O.R. suite.
- Risk Manager Designee.
- The working administrator has the responsibility, as needed, to fill in on clinical and operational duties, as licensed, to support his/her team and physicians.
