Job Overview: The Administrator Coordinator will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our medical office. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around providing administrative support to our healthcare team, maintaining accurate records, scheduling appointments, and assisting with various office tasks.
Primary Responsibilities: - Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail (envelopes, packages, etc.)
- Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers etc. and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general information to patients.
- Assist with billing and insurance-related tasks, including verifying insurance coverage and processing claims.
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists as needed.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the office spaces.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide support to providers and the office manager for daily operations.
- Other related tasks as assigned by the office manager.
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent highly preferred.
- Bi-lingual in English and Chinese required.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is required.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is beneficial.
