Administrative Technical Support Assistant Our partner has an exciting opportunity to join a world-renowned University's Biology department. The University is looking for an Administrative Technical Support Assistant to support the department's academic operations by managing databases, compiling reports, and assisting with graduate admissions and course administration.
Key Responsibilities: General Administrative Support - Serve as a computing support liaison, assisting with technical needs
- Stay informed on technological changes within the department and implement relevant updates
- Assist with event planning, special projects, and general office tasks as needed
Data Management & Reporting - Maintain and update databases for undergraduate, graduate, alumni, course, and registration records
- Compile statistics and generate reports for grants and program renewals
- Integrate and process data using the University department's technical systems
- Develop and streamline data collection processes to improve efficiency
Academic Program Support - Assist with course scheduling, bulletin updates, and maintaining course evaluations
- Support the graduate admissions and recruitment process
- Updating the department website as needed
Required Qualifications: - 1+ years of experience in an administrative or office setting
- Prior experience in handling data management, reporting, or academic administration
- Experience using FileMaker Pro or similar tool database management
- Ability to work on-site in Cambridge, MA Monday-Friday
Nice-to-Have Qualifications: - Prior work experience in a higher education setting.
- Any exposure to WebSIS, MITS IS, Data Warehouse, or similar data reporting tools
