Purpose & Impact:

Your role will involve completing a variety of work assignments with attention to detail and efficiency. You will gain knowledge of office procedures and manage tasks of varying complexity.

Essential Functions:
  • Receive and manage incoming phone calls, accurately recording and directing messages as needed.
  • Welcome guests and clients with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Assist in the sorting and timely distribution of mail.
  • Maintain an organized library of informational materials used in programs, including books and videos.
  • Screen clients and conduct initial evaluations.
  • Provide clerical support to shelter and clinical managers as necessary.
  • Update forms as required.
  • Offer administrative and program support to the Regional Director and Administrative Assistant, including drafting correspondence, scheduling meetings and travel, and managing documents.
  • Ensure cleanliness in the lobby, kitchen, restroom, and conference room.
  • Input receipts and bills into the computer system.
  • Complete WEX accurately.
  • Assist with reference checks and conduct necessary follow-ups.
  • Participate in training sessions and attend all required staff meetings.
Other Functions:

Perform additional duties as assigned to support our mission.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in a dynamic environment, sit for extended periods, and effectively use computer equipment. Clear verbal communication is essential, both over the phone and in person.

Education:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

One to three years of related experience is essential.

Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Efficient and accurate typing skills, capable of maintaining a systematic filing approach, and knowledge of general office operations.
  • Data entry proficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
Other:

Must demonstrate cultural sensitivity and be aware of the socioeconomic characteristics and needs of our service population.

Principle Accountabilities:
  • You will report to the Administrative Assistant.
  • Collaborate effectively with coworkers and Central Services.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized and complete program documentation.
  • Cultivate effective working relationships across the organization.
  • Comply with all LSF personnel policies and procedures.
