Administrative Support/Personnel Management Student Assistant Apply now Job no: 533868 Work type: Student Ast Location: Main Campus (Gainesville, FL) Categories: Office/Administrative/Fiscal Support Department: - ED-LASTINGER CENTER Classification Title: STAS- Part Time Job Description:This student will be responsible for supporting the Administrative/Personnel Management functions within the Advising and Learner Support team. This individual assists with tracking Agent performance metrics, managing essential administrative forms, and supporting the SEAPCA; a training program focused on equipping new hires with skills to handle difficult calls and customer interactions, processes for new hires. This individual will be tasked with adding new hires to the virtual classroom, sending reminders about missing assignments, and offering technical support for those having difficulty submitting assignments. Additionally, the role involves coordinating aspects of new hire onboarding, such as scheduling agent shadowing sessions and managing Outlook appointments. The Student Assistant collaborates closely with the Success Enablement Specialist to integrate mindfulness initiatives, including virtual and in-person events, establishing practices and creating milestones, into the workplace, promoting a positive and productive work environment. This position is vital in streamlining administrative operations to enhance employee experience and performance tracking. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Administrative Support/Personnel Management: Tracks Agent performance on the desk, maintaining up-to-date performance metrics. This information will be reported to the Success Enablement Specialist and shared with the appropriate supervisors. Manages essential administrative documentation related to attendance issues, schedule adjustments, and client incident reporting. Supports SEAPCA training (onboarding documentation and processes) for new hires. Workplace Development: Collaborates with the Learning & Development Specialist to incorporate mindfulness initiatives in the workplace. Supports team efforts to create a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment. New Hire Coordination: Assists with scheduling agent, shadowing sessions and setting up Outlook appointments for new hires. Manages onboarding logistics to ensure a smooth integration process. Tier I Agent Working on Freshdesk responding to tickets as needed Have the option of have 1 scheduled shift on the calendar Other Duties as Assigned Monday-Friday, working hours as assigned, with occasional flexibility for on-boarding events or urgent administrative support. Expected Salary: $15.00/ hour Minimum Requirements: This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in administrative support or HR functions. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Enrolled as a student with a focus on Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
