Under the guidance of the Administrative Support Unit's Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) is responsible for overseeing and executing a range of administrative support functions. This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing and analyzing CalGEM documents and processes, assisting with CalGEM HQ hiring and recruitment packages, and providing recommendations for process improvements within the California Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM). The AGPA will collaborate with internal subject matter experts and work closely with CalGEM managers and supervisors to facilitate the implementation of organizational changes within the division. Additionally, the AGPA will offer independent consultations to managers and supervisors on complex personnel matters and organizational structure issues. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate strong independence, initiative, critical thinking, and creativity in their work.

Working Conditions This position is located in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule, with employees required to work in-person at 715 P Street, MS 1803, Sacramento, CA 95814. At least three days of remote work and up to two days of in-office work per week is the available hybrid telework schedule for this position. Alternative work locations will not be considered.
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview but must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
