Description
We are looking for someone to provide support for Family Impact programs within the Human and Veteran Services department. This position involves performing technical, clerical, and administrative tasks to help keep things running smoothly.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and review reports using data from different sources.
- Manage and organize databases and filing systems (Smart Sheets, Neighborly, KWIK TAG, Indigent Cremation).
- Create templates and forms for managing programs.
- Collect and share community and provider announcements each week with the Human Services Information Network (HSIN).
- Help create reports for the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) as needed.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports for the HOPWA program and Indigent Cremation program.
- Organize the schedule, announcements, agenda, and meeting materials for the Community Action Advisory Board, ensuring everything is ready at least two weeks before each meeting.
- Attend quarterly meetings, take notes, and share meeting minutes.
- Keep records of board members and their attendance.
- Manage staff attendance and schedules.
- Provide backup support to the clerical team when needed.
- Help manage the State Mandated Indigent Cremation, Medical, and Dental Assistance programs (HCRA).
- Organize the funeral home process each year and create the yearly schedule.
- Process applications for assistance, maintain household files, verify information, and handle payments for providers.
- Purchase client incentives and keep track of inventory.
- Regularly reconcile inventory with a manager.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Licensing
- Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one year of college in business administration, finance, human resources, or closely related field
- 2 years of experience in clerical, customer service, administrative work, or a similar office support role.
Additional Qualifications:
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record are preferred.
Supplemental Information
Work Hours:
- Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
