We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy EmpowerMX Onsite Specialist to support, manage, and optimize our usage of the EmpowerMX software platform. This position is a hands-on role with direct responsibility for successful deployment and use of the EmpowerMX product suite. Aviation maintenance experience, enthusiasm, communication, and ability to interact with EmpowerMX customer support, internal and external teams are key.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the onsite expert for the EmpowerMX platform, serving as the primary POC for all users, at all sites.
- Represents and engages with subject matter experts and business customers to understand MRO needs.
- Liaison & Communication between MRO team, internal and external customers and EmpowerMX to create high levels of project transparency.
- Support the configuration, setup, deployment, and maintenance of EmpowerMX modules according to company standards and operational requirements. Apply knowledge of aircraft maintenance and configure software to align with customer business requirements.
- Create and maintain user documentation, process guides, and troubleshooting FAQs.
- Provide training and guidance to technicians, supervisors, and other staff on system usage and best practices. Ensure all reoccurring software training is complete in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot issues, gather user feedback, and coordinate with the EmpowerMX team as needed.
- Monitor system performance and data integrity daily, ensuring accurate data entry and usage compliance.
- Collaborate with IT, maintenance, and production teams to ensure the system is aligned with operational goals and meet FAA 145 Requirements.
- Assist service delivery team to perform validation and acceptance on all orders.
- Provide monthly reports highlighting system usage, efficiency gains and ROI metrics.
- Works with leadership, key stakeholders and IT team to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines.
- Works closely with the process owner and business performance objectives to understand and support organizational needs.
- Manage security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms in accordance with ITGovernance guidelines.
Implementation/upgrades/system optimization
- Identify risks and create mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Participate in testing new features or updates before they are rolled out organization wide.
- Recommend enhancements to workflows and system configurations based on observed usage and user feedback.
- Leads deployment of software upgrades, enhancements, and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules.
- Handle any technical issues employees have before/during/after transition.
- Support transferring of legacy data when applicable.
- Maintain all project deliverable and ensure optimal utilization of all tools.
- Ensure all implementation training is delivered including training plans, resources, and user acceptance testing.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years working in aviation maintenance, MRO environment or related field is strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of the aircraft maintenance process, requirements, methods, and terminology.
- Significant affinity for IT and the application of software solutions within a business environment.
- High energy and enthusiasm for the deployment of IT technology.
- Ability to understand customer business environment, configure and deploy software into that environment.
- Prior experience of using or supporting EmpowerMX software preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Proficient with technical systems, software platforms, and troubleshooting processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, etc.).
Education & Experience:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in IT, Aviation Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in technical support, systems specialist, or MRO environment preferred.
