Description of Work The Recruitment Range for this Position is $39,671 - $56,100 THIS IS A REPOST - PREVIOUS APPLICANTS MUST REAPPLY TO BE CONSIDERED This position organizes and coordinates administrative and business activities for the Environmental Health Section under direction of the Operations Manager. This employee serves as the Section's purchasing agent and is responsible for knowing DHHS/DPH policies and procedures for generating purchase requests, obtaining quotes, processing direct pay and P-card orders, and related activities. Creates purchase requisitions in E-procurement and checks NCFS for accounting information.
Prepares travel authorizations for Section staff, including blanket TA's/BTA's for each fiscal year for 11 budgets. Maintains an internal tracking system for all travel to ensure travel is approved in a timely manner and reimbursement is efficient.
The employee functions as administrative support for the Section, processes mileage logs for state vehicles, and coordinates and assists with onboarding new employees.
This position serves as the Human Resources liaison between the Section and Division HR. This employee has extensive knowledge of NeoGov, PeopleAdmin, Beacon, and Fiori software systems and assists staff with timesheet and HR-related questions.
