Job Summary

Provide timely effective and accurate high-level secretarial and clerical support to mid-levels, physicians, director, associate site directors and medical director.

Responsibilities

1. Departmental Payroll

2. Weekly meeting agenda and staff meeting minutes

3. Check requests for physician and mid-level dues, books & subscriptions.

4. Travel reimbursement for physicians & mid-levels CME trips.

5. Processes purchase orders.

6. Coordinates calendar for drug reps to speak with group.
• Coordinates and tracks annual employee physicals.

7. Coordinates Medicare audit corrections and compliance requests with physicians and Integrity Office.

8. Assists providers with credentialing/reappointment process.
• Coordinates Medical Director's calendar.

9. Provides phone back-up for staff assistant.

10. Assists Director with weekly scheduling assignments.

11. Keeps the hospitalist call schedule current and coordinates/communicates schedule changes.

12. Coordinates EMR deficiency notifications with the physicians and mid-level providers.

13. Assists Director with preparation for new hire onboarding of physicians and mid-level providers.

14. Coordinates ordering office supplies and keeps supply closet stocked.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Patient Group Knowledge (Only applies to positions with direct patient contact)

The employee must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages. Specifically the employee must be able to demonstrate competency in: 1) ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs; 2) knowledge of growth and development; and 3) understanding of the range of treatment needed by the patients.

Education

• Associate's Degree (Required) Level of Experience 2 years related experience working with physicians Acceptable SUBSTITUTIONS (if any) May substitute 3 years of experience for Associate Degree
