The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Anchorage International Airport - Airfield Maintenance, is looking for an Administrative Officer 1 to help us Keep Alaska Moving.

What you will be doing:

Join the team that keeps one of the world's busiest cargo hubs running. As the Administrative Officer 1 for ANC's Airfield Maintenance Section, you will lead efforts to modernize asset management systems and optimize maintenance operations for the future. In this role, you will analyze maintenance data, track asset lifecycles, and generate reports that drive multimillion-dollar operational decisions. You will also play a key role in onboarding and configuring a next-generation Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) platform, ensuring ANC remains at the forefront of data-driven airport maintenance and asset management. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, reliability, and long-term success of one of the world's most important aviation hubs.

Who we are looking for:

To be successful in this position, the selected applicant will possess the following core competencies:
  • Database Administration: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for automating, developing, implementing, or administering database systems.
  • Performance Measurement: Knowledge of the principles and methods for evaluating program or organizational performance using financial and nonfinancial measures, including identification of evaluation factors (for example, workload, personnel requirements), metrics, and outcomes.
  • Strategic Thinking: Formulates objectives and priorities and implements plans consistent with the long-term interests of the organization in a global environment. Capitalizes on opportunities and manages risks.
Special Note:While the Administrative Officer 1position at Anchorage International Airport Airfield Maintenance Section does not typically require highly specialized licenses or certifications, certain regulatory standards and best practices related to safety, asset management, and operational compliance must be followed. Below are the potential requirements tied to state or federal regulations:

1. Valid Driver's License (Class D)

2. Incumbent must pass an FBI fingerprint based, criminal history records check per 49 CFR Part 1542 and a Transportation Security Administration Security Threat Assessment to obtain an Airport issued Identification Badge. If access to US Customs and Border Protection is needed to carry out duties of their job, they must also pass a criminal history check per 19 CFR Part .
