JOB GOALS:
To aid the principals in educational leadership for his/her building.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
215 Day Contract. Salary and work year are to be in accordance with the Administrative Compensation Package.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. The administrator plays an active and collaborative role in supporting the principal's leadership and advancing the shared goals of the administrative team.
  2. To be an instructional leader and display expertise in staff development.
  3. To evaluate certified and classified staff according to the policy set forth by the Board of Education.
  4. To develop and update the student handbook.
  5. To administer the building's attendance policy.
  6. To assign and monitor faculty duty assignments.
  7. To work with the transportation supervisor regarding individual transportation problems.
  8. To coordinate an alternative education program, e.g., I.S.S.
  9. To be visible in extracurricular activities.
  10. To schedule and coordinate building use by school-related and non-school-related organizations.
  11. To assist in implementing, developing, and planning IEPs and 504 plans.
  12. To assist in planning and participating in Academic Team Meetings, IAT meetings, and Family Team Meetings.
  13. Develop and implement disciplinary procedures in alignment with school policies and state regulations.
  14. Monitor and manage student behavior by responding to infractions promptly, fairly, and consistently.
  15. Investigate and resolve disciplinary issues, including conflicts, bullying, and other behavioral concerns.
  16. Collaborate with teachers and staff to address ongoing behavioral challenges and develop individualized student intervention plans.
  17. Ensure that disciplinary consequences are appropriate, restorative, and aimed at promoting growth and accountability.
  18. Any other duties assigned by the building principals.

Behavioral Support and Interventions:

1. Work closely with students to provide guidance and counseling related to behavioral issues.

2. Coordinate with school counselors, social workers, and other support staff to implement effective interventions for at-risk students.

3. Lead efforts in promoting positive behavior through initiatives such as PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) or similar frameworks.

Communication and Collaboration:

1. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding disciplinary matters and behavior expectations.

2. Serve as a liaison between the school and parents to ensure families are involved in resolving behavioral issues.

3. Provide regular updates to the principal on the status of discipline cases and overall student behavior trends.

Data and Reporting:

1. Maintain accurate records of disciplinary incidents, student behavior data, and interventions.

2. Analyze discipline data to identify patterns and areas for improvement in school climate and culture.

3. Prepare reports for school administration, district personnel, and state authorities as required.
