General Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field. Four years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Experience in Higher Education is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs advanced and complex administrative support duties for the College of Health Sciences.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Manages, directs, and implements operations of budget for grants within the College of Health Sciences, to include financial and statistical reports. Collects, reconciles, and maintains complex data. Monitors project timelines and identifies issues. Incorporates continuous changes in federal, state, and/or local grant policies ensuring college and department compliance. Provides accurate and timely entry of budgetary transactions. Provides guidance and assistant to principal investigators and department staff to determine how to effectively implement grant operational requests. Prepares regulatory documents as requested by the principal investigator and the funding agency. Serves as liaison and maintains contact with other University departments. Recommends to the supervisor internal policies and procedures, clerical functions, and workflow to ensure effective and efficient operation. Prepares, submits, and reconciles purchasing and travel-related documents for grants. Performs administrative support duties pertaining to grants. Performs other related duties as assigned.
