This is a 260-day position. Position PurposeProvides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to ensure the efficient operation of the school office. This role involves handling communication, scheduling, record-keeping, and various tasks that support the principal and the school's administrative functions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities - Maintain communication with the Principal, staff, students, parents, and community.
- Perform bookkeeping duties and monitor and maintain accounts and budgets as assigned.
- Ensure the smooth operation and organization of the office and materials.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering the phone; opening, sorting, and distributing mail; greeting and directing visitors; typing correspondences, meeting agendas, and memos; filing; faxing; copying; etc.
- Maintain a calendar for the Principal, scheduling appointments/interviews as needed.
- Maintain a current record of all student registrations and withdrawals, which includes preparing forms and records.
- Calculate statistics for percentage of students receiving deficiencies and failing the marking period.
- Maintain confidential employee and student cumulative records, files, and affairs and record data and activities.
- Prepare student transcripts and records, upon request, and submit/mail to appropriate locations.
- Prepare, complete, and print reports, spreadsheets, invitations, scholarship information, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal, Assistant Principal, and/or Superintendent.

Qualification Profile - Two (2) years experience as a secretary necessary, preferably in public education
- High school diploma or equivalent is necessary
- Diploma from an accredited secretarial training program helpful
- Other education/experience as accepted by the school board and administration
