The Special Education Office is looking for a qualified candidate to support the overall effort of the Special Education Office. This is a 12-month position.
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and maintain confidentiality
  • Intermediate computer and technology skills are required
  • Schedule and reschedule all special education team meetings
  • Assist with and monitor the special education budget
  • Prepare purchase orders and process all invoices
  • Arrange special education transportation
  • Maintain files of special education students
  • Enter data into systems (iPass, SIMS and eSped)
  • Assist with correspondence, staff notifications and progress reports
  • Coordination and documentation of services for out of district students
  • Assist with Medicaid Reporting
  • Assist Director in hiring and interview process
  • Translation of documents and meetings
  • Assist with ESY programming and implementation
  • Order and maintain Special Education supplies and testing materials
  • Prepare and send record requests
  • Collaborate with outside contractors and providers for assessments and meetings
  • Assist with Central Office duties, as needed
  • In addition to possessing proficient English language skills, candidates with Spanish language abilities are preferred.
