Assabet Valley Collaborative(AVC) is an educational service agency in Metrowest/Central Massachusetts. Our services include school programs, wraparound services, transportation services, professional development, cooperative purchasing and consulting. We are in the process of implementing a

Who We Are:Assabet Valley Collaborative (AVC) is an educational service agency in Metrowest/Central Massachusetts. Our services include K-12 and post-graduate school programs, wraparound services, transportation services, professional development, cooperative purchasing and consulting. This Administrative Assistant position
supports AVC's Evolution and REACH programs. Evolution is a transition program for young adults aged 18-22 who have a diverse range of cognitive and physical needs. REACH is a program designed to meet the diverse physical, medical, and learning needs of students ages 5-18.
Qualifications The Administrative Assistant is accessible, approachable, and welcoming, managing confidential situations and information with discretion, respect, and sensitivity.

- Superior organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and exhibit sound judgment.
- Previous administrative support experience - preferably in schools, special education
- Experience with Google Suite, Student Information System (Schoolbrains), special education software (Frontline/esped),.
- Ability to engage with different perspectives, opinions, and conflict
- Bilingual or multilingual is a plus
- Encourages and fosters passion and enthusiasm for the work of AVC
- Experience working in schools, nonprofits, human service organizations
- Valid driver's license, safe driving record and ability to transport students in AVC vehicles (vans).
Role Overview:The Administrative Assistant position is dynamic and requires an open-mind, flexibility, and a proactive attitude. This role involves a heavy volume of electronic, personal, and telephone contact and requires a high level of professionalism, public relations, and problem solving. This position performs significant administrative and operational tasks that are integral to the effective and efficient, daily operation of the school community.
Primary Responsibilities: - Oversees special projects & other duties associated with strategic initiatives
- Manage output, workflow and office deadlines
- Oversees the planning and implementation of tasks related to opening school each fall
- Maintain and disseminate student records and information both electronically and hard copies
- Scheduling and Coordination of meetings with sending districts, staff, and parents
- Data entry and distribution of student IEPs and progress reports
- Submitting monthly Medicaid billing/documentation to district contacts
- Take daily student lunch orders and assist with disbursing Application for Free/Reduced lunch
- Ability to drive vans to transport students to job sites as needed
- Support and coordinate with others for new staff onboarding
- Supporting coordination related to facilities projects
- Complete other duties as needed
Schedule: Full-time 10.5-month school year positions are based on 195 (185-day school year + 10 days) with 7 reporting hours per day.
The 10.5-month school year schedule spans the school year (10 months) + 2 summer weeks - one prior to the beginning of the school year and one after the school year ends. Currently the position is being posted as a half-time (0.5 FTE) position with 17.5 weekly reporting hours, however there is potential for an increase in hours (up to 35 weekly hours (1.0 FTE) as enrollment within the programs grows. At 0.5 FTE, this position is benefits eligible. Schedule of weekly hours will be determined with input from the Assistant and centered on the needs of the programs and the students served.
Competitive Benefits include: - Hourly pay range: $26/hour - $42/hour
- at .50 FTE, annualized salary range: $17,745 - $28,665
- at .50 FTE, 2 paid personal days, 5 paid sick days
