Description Hiring Salary: $42,854 (Depending on Qualifications) Gloucester County is seeking a dedicated full-time Administrative Assistant to join our Facilities Management Team, today. Under general supervision performs a wide variety of complex technical, operational support and accounting functions for the Facilities Management Department and the Gloucester County Mosquito Control Program.
Performs a variety of administrative duties to assist the Director in the day-to-day operation of the department. Work requires extensive knowledge of the department's services, policies and procedures and an ability to communicate these to others.
Employee must exercise independent judgement and initiative in completing assignments. Employee must also exercise considerable tact and courtesy in all types of situations.
Reports to Facilities Management Director.
Job Highlights- Administrator for Facility Dude work order and preventative maintenance programs.
- Administrator for Fuel Master fleet fueling automation software.
- Issues and tracks keys to County vehicles and equipment.
- Performs administrative support duties for the Mosquito Control Program and services as secretary to the Mosquito Control Commission.
- Schedules building equipment inspections and preventative maintenance with service contractors.
- Prepares monthly custodial support cost (labor and supplies) report for Health Department.
- Serves as point of contact for individuals seeking to fulfill court-ordered community service with the department.
- Answers telephone and greets visitors.
- Establishes and maintains a variety of files, records and directories/databases specific to the department.
- Types material from typed or handwritten copy or machine dictation.
- Serves as backup to other administrative support staff when needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Administrative Assistant-Operations Qualifications- Possession of an Associate's degree preferred, with course work in administrative support, technology, business, purchasing, or related field.
- Four (4) to six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support services.
- Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
