Administrative Assistant, K-5 Trauma & Behavior Program

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

SUPERVISES: None

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

COMPENSATION: Based on Classified Pay Structure

WORK CALENDAR: 208 Days STANDARD HOURS: 8 Hours/Day, 35 Hours/Week

CORP STATUS: Classified

PERF: CPCSC is a Non-PERF District

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Serve as receptionist for the main office: phone and door
  • Student Management System - update student information, enter daily attendance/tardies for all students, attendance reports (daily & monthly), maintains on a weekly basis, sends out attendance and tardy letters weekly
  • Maintains student files including bus lists and attendance records
  • Obtain new student enrollment information, including health and academic records
  • Plans and organizes pictures and yearbook
  • Helps with building event planning and celebrations
  • Assist the nurse in emergency situations
  • Record behavior referrals in management system
  • Perform other secretarial duties as required by the building principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • The preferred candidate must have excellent communication and technology skills
  • The preferred candidate must maintain confidentiality of all school information
  • The preferred candidate will have school secretarial experience
  • The preferred candidate must be knowledgeable and skilled using Word, Excel, etc. and have experience with data input
  • The preferred candidate must have an excellent attendance record and must be dependable.
  • Nurture a positive relationship with super-ordinates, subordinates and peers, students, and families
  • Demonstrate respect for super-ordinates, subordinates and peers
  • Support corporation decisions and direction relative to matters of policy and administrative directives.
