Staffmark is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support operations at a distribution center in Windsor, CT. In this key role, you'll assist with purchasing, cost control, and performance tracking for the General Manager, while also providing administrative support across departments.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and distribute records, reports, and spreadsheets
- Process and track invoices, monitor costs, and compare expenses to budget
- Provide administrative support to the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Operations Managers
- Order and manage office supply inventory
- Answer phones, take messages, and manage distribution center filing systems
- Ensure forms and supplies are available to managers, team leaders, and associates
- Assist with basic HR functions when needed, including check distribution
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Excellent attendance and no written performance issues in the last 6 months
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Solid math, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and general PC use
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively
