OverviewAdministrative Assistant - Full Time - Washington, DC IST is a rapidly growing business process outsourcing (BPO) company and the largest American privately-owned facilities management company. Founded in 1997, the company is a two-time recipient of the Human Resources Professional Excellence Award granted by the Society for Human Resource Management. The administrative assistant is responsible for providing administrative and coordination support to the division and division management through a range of duties and tasks, including the development, editing, proofreading, and formatting technical documents, spreadsheets, and performing special duties as assigned. You will be working with Managers and Directors at all times.
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with flexibility to work an earlier shift if needed)

Compensation: While the compensation for this position is finally dependent upon the candidate's experience/qualifications, the approximate compensation for this position will be $23 to $25 to be paid hourly.
To be eligible for this position, you will have to take a series of tests that include: Typing, Proof Reading, Grammar, Sentence Structure and Expert level Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
ResponsibilitiesPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities: - Write, edit, review, prepare and send correspondence, documents, etc.
- Compile reports, agendas, and background materials
- Create and/or edit Word documents; Create and/or edit Excel spreadsheets; Create and/or edit PowerPoint presentations
- Maintain and manage calendars/schedules
- Identify and act on member and/or customer requests, questions, inquiries, concerns by answering and routing phone calls and e-mails
- Perform special projects, as assigned; Schedule and provide logistical support for small- to medium-sized industry or client meetings that may be on-site or off-site
- Provide support to the conference managers for larger meetings and conferences; Coordinate with IST for on-site room reservations and setup
- Create, update, and manage content on client website through a content management system; Maintain working knowledge of posting content for that division and act as back-up to other web posters
- Other duties as assigned
QualificationsQualifications: - Thorough knowledge of office procedures
- Two years or more in an office environment
- Thorough working knowledge of computer applications including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation software; knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential
Skills & Abilities: - Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including editing and proofreading according to AP style guidelines with accuracy
- Excellent administrative/clerical skills
- Proficiency in time management and prioritization
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications: - A four-year degree from an accredited college
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
