Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and leadership skills, the ability to handle a variety of tasks efficiently, and a positive, adaptable attitude. While prior legal experience is a plus, a willingness to learn and grow within the field is equally valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and legal staff
  • Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence and legal documents
  • Maintain client files and ensure accurate and timely data entry
  • Answer and direct phone calls with professionalism and empathy
  • Schedule appointments, hearings, and client meetings
  • Manage office supplies and maintain a well-organized work environment
  • Communicate effectively with clients, court staff, and other professionals
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of bankruptcy petitions and related documentation
  • Support office operations to ensure smooth day-to-day functionality
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to take initiative
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and legal concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office technology
  • Experience in a legal or bankruptcy office is a plus, but not required
