JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Guiltinan-Maximova Lab is seeking a detail-oriented and organized administrative assistant to support our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations of our Plant Institute, The Penn State Cacao and Chocolate Research Network and other Project activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responding to inquiries via phone or email.
  • Organizing, updating, and maintaining files and records.
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments.
  • Creating and distributing documents such as memos, invoices, and reports.
  • Managing and ordering office and lab supplies and inventory.
  • Assisting with events planning and logistics.
  • Assisting with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
