SUMMARY

Provides business office clerical assistance. Compiles and maintains records of business transactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Operates computer terminal to input and retrieve data.

Conducts research, compiles and prepares reports, drawings, work orders or paperwork that is required to complete job packet requirement.

Organizes and maintains file system and files correspondence and other records.

Maintains data files according to prescribed standards.

Performs follow ups and inquiries through various communication methods.

Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials.

Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence including e-mail and faxes if needed.

Operates computers, calculator and usual office equipment.

Observe all company policies and regulations including safety, housekeeping and quality of work.

Utilize individually and/or further the use of total quality concepts, tools and techniques to support continuous quality improvement in all processes in which the position participates.

Perform other duties as requested or necessary to meet business conditions and changes.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE -

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS -

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS -

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY -

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
