CLASSIFICATION: Staff/Hourly/Full-Time
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director
Summary The Administrative Assistant is responsible for organizing the people and daily activities associated with the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics; coordinates the activities of the Athletics Director; works directly with head coaches, assistant coaches, and athletic trainers; manages ticket sales; keeps accounting of Athletics Department budget.
Duties & Responsibilities - Manages day-to-day operations of the Athletics Department.
- Maintains budget for department.
- Processes all department invoices in the business and finance accounting system.
- Works directly with the Sports Information Director & Assistant Athletic Director for organizing select home athletic events.
- Processes new and existing employees.
- Assist and coordinate student workers assigned to the department.
- Maintain calendar and trips for Athletic Director.
Qualifications - Excellent organizational skills and work ethic; ability for multi-tasking and prioritizing.
- Ability to make quality decisions and maintain positive rapport with others.
- Good computer skills and willingness to stay current on updated software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Documents.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping is essential.
Experience - Five years of applicable work experience preferred.
