Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting the administration and communication of employee benefits programs.
Role Priorities - Assist with benefits administration, including:
- New hire and termination paperwork and data entry
- Mail printing
- Updating orientation materials for health insurance programs and 401(k) plans
- Create and organize vouchers/files for HR and benefits documents to maintain accurate records in the company's system
Performance Requirements - Assist employees with understanding and enrolling in benefit plans
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefit enrollments and changes
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits
- Coordinate with insurance providers and 401(k) trustees to resolve benefit-related issues
- Maintain confidential employee benefits records
- Assist in benefits administration for health insurance, 401(k), and COBRA programs
- Enter data for new hires and terminations across all benefits plans
- Prepare benefits-related reports and presentations for employees
- Reconcile monthly and quarterly benefits balances
- Process employee benefits invoices and receipts
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR Department
- Monitor back-office equipment, ensure proper functionality, and coordinate necessary repairs with service personnel
Experience and Educational Requirements Minimum Experience: - Experience reviewing and inputting data into company systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Accurate cross-referencing of data
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative benefits role
Educational Requirements: - High School Diploma required
