Georgia-Pacific has an immediate opening for an Administrative Assistant role at our Naheola Mill located in Pennington, AL . In this role, you will be providing administrative and analytical support to our Tissue Mill and Stock Prep departments. They'll use their exceptional organizational skills to update schedules, maintain spreadsheets, process invoices, and assist employees with their timecards. They have experience working independently and are known for their problem-solving and decision-making abilities. The starting pay rate is $26.69 per hour . The schedule for position is 7:00am - 3:30pm . You must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed. This position is covered under a Union Labor Agreement.

Our Team

Naheola Mill located in Pennington, Alabama, is a manufacturing site for the company's well-known consumer products business, producing a wide range of products for the consumer business, including Angel Soft bath tissue and Sparkle paper towels, as well as bleached paperboard used in Dixie paper cups and plates. The mill is the largest employer in the community with more than 900 employees and is engaged in supporting community outreach, workforce development and education.

What You Will Do
  • Provide administrative support to the Tissue Mill and Stock Prep departments
  • Maintain the department P-Card, all ordering, tracking, reporting and reconciliation
  • Maintain seniority and progression list for all hourly employees by each area, including a permanent base schedule for all areas.
  • Update and distribute weekly crew staffing and training schedule for Tissue Mill and Stock Prep departments.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining master spreadsheet of hourly employee schedules for annual vacations and floating holidays in Kronos
  • Assist Performance Development Leaders with timekeeping in Kronos and ensure timecards are approved with no payroll discrepancies.
  • Interact with department management and hourly employees to schedule changes or training needs.
  • Maintain updated employee contact information for department.
  • Order, receive and process invoices in SAP and FileNet.
  • Order and maintain supplies/equipment for the area.
  • Serve as backup to other O&C personnel.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years or more of clerical or administrative work experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, to include Office, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Knowledge of Labor Agreements and/or experience working in a union environment
  • Experience using SAP
  • Experience using FileNet
  • Experience using Kronos

This role is part of the collective bargaining agreement and the starting pay for this role is set at $26.69 per hour.
