Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for communicating with customers, employees, and others to answer questions, address complaints, explain information, and assist the Owner in carrying out the scope of this position with superior customer service.
Essential Functions - Answer's customer/vendor telephone calls
- Filing
- Provides various weekly/monthly reports to owners and/or salesmen
- Operates office machinery, including photocopiers, scanners, telephone and voicemail systems, and computers
- Works with owner to create PO's and place accurate orders for merchandise maintaining records in a neat organized manner
- Check in and receive merchandise into system
- Generate Price Tags for merchandise
- Research and report product status
- Handles incoming and outgoing office correspondence-emails
- Assist owner with bids and sales orders
- Maintains calendar and appointments for the owner, as required.
- Prepares daily email to team
- Take customer payments and posting payments in system
- Interacts productively with supervisors, employees, and customers.
- Other duties as required
- Must be able to meet deadlines and the ability to multi-task
Required Education and Experience - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of administrative experience is preferred
- Proficient experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), database software, and document management
Certifications/Competencies - Must be able to sit, bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs with reasonable accommodation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
