The Administrative Assistant will provide clerical support for the FCA field office to accomplish the FCA mission and vision and reflect the FCA Core Values in the ongoing work of that office.
MINISTERIAL DUTIES These responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. FCA expects all functions and responsibilities outlined below to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.
- Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.
- Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
- Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
- Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
- Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for appointments/meetings with staff, ministry partners, vendors, etc.
- Handles travel arrangements for assigned staff.
- Receives and screens telephone calls and emails for area office.
- Retrieves, opens, and distributes office mail.
- Plans, organizes, and completes assigned work in a timely manner.
- Manages development of resources and meets deadlines of assigned projects.
- Coordinates donor ministry events, banquets, staff meetings, etc.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
This Admin position focuses on Events & Operations for Permian Basin FCA. Here's some general responsbilities:
1. Event Planning & Execution (Excellence)
o Develop, coordinate, and execute large-scale ministry events with a focus on
impact, organization, and sustainability.
o Recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams to support event logistics and execution.
o Secure venues, speakers, sponsors, and resources needed for successful events.
o Ensure all events align with FCA's mission and provide a Christ-centered
experience.
2. Operational Leadership (Teamwork & Serving)
o Oversee logistics and operational systems to support local FCA initiatives and events.
o Develop and implement efficient administrative processes that enhance ministry
effectiveness.
o Support the local FCA team with project management, and resource allocation.
3. Grant Research & Development (Integrity & Excellence)
o Identify and research grant opportunities to support local FCA's programs and
initiatives.
o Assist in grant writing and reporting to secure and maintain funding.
o Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure funding aligns with ministry goals.
4. Digital Presence & Communication (Excellence & Serving)
o Maintain and update the area's website to ensure accurate and engaging content.
o Manage social media platforms to increase awareness, engagement, and
participation in local FCA events.
o Create digital and print materials that effectively communicate the local FCA's mission
and opportunities.
5. Ministry Partnership & Engagement (Teamwork & Serving)
o Build and strengthen relationships with ministry partners, sponsors, and
community leaders.
o Coordinate volunteer engagement efforts to grow and sustain ministry support.
o Serve as a point of contact for event-related inquiries and partnerships.
