Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • You will process initial, renewal, and/or other applications for the Manufactured Housing Board and Building Codes Counsel (via paper and online), utilizing applicable databases and software.
  • You will provide administrative support for the continuing education programs for the assigned boards' by maintain the approved list of programs, assist consumers with filing complaints, assist with the filing of bond claims, and maintain and submitting reports to HUD (Housing and Urban Development) as directed.
  • You will respond to customer inquiries received through walk-ins, telephone calls, e-mails, and other methods providing timely and accurate responses to requested related to the assigned boards' application and licensing processes.
  • You will perform record audits to assist with compliance of licensure requirements, maintain surety bond records, pull monthly reports to determine non-compliance with requirements, and prepare correspondence related to surety bond non-compliance.
  • You will weekly review the applicable boards' websites for accuracy of information, provide administrative support for board and committee meetings, and provide administrative support for the Building Codes council's education and exam tracking and reimbursement process.
  • You will perform a variety of other administrative assistance functions including processing applications and providing support for the Modular Building Program, ensuring compliance with retention schedules, preparing routine correspondence, and assisting the Board Executive.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Must possess knowledge of the principles and procedures of public and business administration.
  • Considerable knowledge and skill in the use of office equipment and computers.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow routine and complex instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
Other Requirements
  • Position works in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and standing.
  • May require occasional work outside of normal office hours.
  • May be required to lift, carry, move and/or position objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Daily filing, data entry, telephone and computer use.
