POSITION: Workers' Compensation Administrative Assistant

REPORTS TO: General Manager of Workers' Compensation - Operations

General Duties:

This full-time position will assist the Lexington Workers' compensation staff with all aspects of performing administrative functions. The Administrative Assistant reports to the General Manager of Workers' Compensation - Operations, interacts with all members of the Lexington Worker's Compensation department and works closely with both corporate/administrative and operations personnel. The Amin Assistant provides essential support to keep an office running smoothly by handling correspondence, maintaining records, and supporting other staff with various clerical and administrative tasks. The Admin Assistant typically handles phone calls, emails, and ensures efficient office operations.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the following:
  • Handles Correspondence : Answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
  • Maintaining Records and Files : Organizing and maintaining physical and digital records, files, databases and spreadsheets.
  • Provides Clerical Support : Answering phones, greeting visitors, and assisting with general office tasks.
  • Support Staff : Providing assistance to colleagues and managers with various administrative tasks.
  • Manage Office Supplies : Ordering and tracking office supplies, ensuring a well-stocked office.
  • Coordinate Logistics : Arranging for meetings, conferences, and other events.
  • Assist with Projects : Supporting team members with administrative tasks related to various projects.
  • Maintain Confidentiality : Handling confidential information with discretion.
Specific assignments may vary depending on department needs to ensure appropriate segregation of duties, SOX compliance efforts, and cross training goals are met.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in a related field is preferred
  • This is an Entry Level position with learning and promotional opportunities
  • Ability to work and interact with management and various departments.
  • Must have an acute attention for detail, high moral integrity, and strong analytical skills.
  • Must be able to manage confidential information appropriately, exhibiting a high degree of maturity and professionalism.
  • Must be able to prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Must have excellent Application Skills (i.e.: Word, Excel, Power Point, 10-key, etc).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Dependable regarding attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work at a computer for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be a United States Citizen.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Annual Salary : $44,000
