Position: Administrative Assistant - Secondary Summer School

Reports to: Site Principal - Secondary Summer School

Supervises: None

Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or GED required.
  2. Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
  3. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goal: To provide assistance and support to the Site Principal, Assistant Principal and school staff at the Secondary Summer School.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  1. Substitutes
    1. Check in and complete appropriate documentation.
    2. Assist in daily duties as required.
  2. Attendance
    1. Write and record admittance slips and early dismissals.
    2. Record all absences called in by parents and school activities.
    3. Run daily reports.
    4. Call parents/guardians of students with unaccounted absences.
    5. Contact teachers regarding absences of only one class per day.
    6. Write passes for students; discuss and resolve daily absences.
    7. Assist Assistant Principals in collecting and presenting attendance documentation for students with excessive semester absences.
    8. Assist parents and students as needed in the collection of missed class work.
  3. Discipline
    1. Enter all discipline in PowerSchool.
  4. General Office Duties
    1. Assist principal, assistant principal, and the Community Education office with the processing and mailing of report cards.
    2. Provide assistance to students, parents, staff and Assistant Principal as needed.
    3. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Employment Terms: May 28, 2025 - June 30, 2025 (15 days)

Compensation: Per Hour - TBD

FLSA Qualification: Non-Exempt

Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information.
